Doctors
George A. Paris,
O.D.
Dr. Paris grew up in Mohall, ND. He graduated in 1975 from
Minot State University with a B.S. in Biology, and began teaching
high school science and coaching girls basketball in Lambert and
Lolo, Montana. He taught for 5 years before deciding to go
into optometry. In 1984, he graduated with an optometry degree
from Pacific University, College of Optometry in Forest Grove,
Oregon. He has served Moscow's visual needs for over 22
years now, and hopes to continue practicing for many years to
come.
Dr. Paris is
a member of the American Optometric Association, and attends
conferences all over the U.S., learning new techniques and
procedures. He is also a member of the local Elks Association
and helps plan many of their local fundraisers. In his free
time, Dr. Paris enjoys, cross country skiing, sports, golfing, as
well as backpacking and traveling in his RV with his wife Connie,
and daughter, Blake.
Justin M. Rowe,
O.D.
Dr. Rowe, the newest member of
Paris Vision Center, was born and raised in Salt Lake City
Utah. At the age of 15 his family moved to Tokyo, where he
went to high school and learned Japanese. He received his
bachelors in Zoology at Brigham Young University. Dr. Rowe
then attended and graduated from Pacific University College of
Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. During the last year of
optometry school he moved to Landstuhl Germany where he worked with
military Optometrist and Ophthalmologists at the Landstuhl
Regional Medical Center for three months. He has also had the
opportunity to work with two of the nations leading developmental
optometrists (vision therapy specialists), Dr. Robin Lewis of
Phoenix, Arizona, and Dr. Dorothy Parrott of Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Rowe greatly enjoys working with children, and specializes in
vision therapy, which helps individuals with crossed eyes, lazy
eyes, and other eye conditions overcome these difficulties. He
also focuses on Low Vision, a service
helping people that suffer from debilitating eye conditions, such as
Glaucoma and macular degeneration. Low vision devices help
these individuals better function
in their daily lives.
Dr. Rowe and
his wife and three children moved to Moscow in May, 2007, and are enjoying getting to
know the town and its people. Dr. Rowe's hobbies include
camping, hiking, photography, and running. He ran the Top of Utah
Marathon in 2001, and plans to run another one someday.
